Just tested one for DS' birthday party tomorrow and I am in danger of having to make them all again

This recipe makes about 15 but I multiplied by 6 to make 90!!

?50-60g margarine
?4-5 tbsp golden syrup
?100 g dark/white chocolate
?75-120g cornflakes

We are cheating and doing takeaway pizza with salad skewers and then we will have picky bits of crisps, cheese savouries, chocolate fountain with strawberries and grapes and they each will have a cornflake cake with an oreo/choc button Mickey Mouse face on top.

Can you freeze them? The cornflake cakes, that is. And what are salad skewers?

I have never forgotten, because I eat them all the time!

Salad skewers are halved cherry tomatoes, halved chunky slices of cucumber, lettuce, and chunks of mozzarella/or any cheese shoved on a skewer. Saves the need for cutlery and more fun for kids.

I did 2 of each thing on 1 skewer.

If you don't want to arse around doing sandwiches another idea we had was to cook burgers/sausages and shove them in buns. Get the kids to queue up and ask if they want cheese, onions, sauce etc. They don't take long to cook and you can cook a fair few at the same time.

Yes. A thousand carefully buttered uneaten sandwiches after the part could be a bit soul destroying.

And can you freeze cornflake cakes? Or would they be soggy on thawing?
