DH has brought home mascarpone instead of ricotta - do I trundle the 10mile round trip to the nearest supermarket or use mascarpone? Will it curdle or anything?

Thanks

I'd say it'll be fine.
I've made that btw, and it's gorgeous.

Thanks will try it. It's not as though ricotta really tastes of much. I have Philadelphia - maybe I'll use that instead.

i used mascarpone instead of ricotta once. it made the meal very rich. and i like rich usually. it was spinach and ricotta lasagne a la delia. perhaps half and half with the philly?

I use cottage cheese instead of ricotta.
