Really feel like some homemade American style pancakes for breakfast/brunch. But what to have with them? Dont really fancy the usual maple syrup or lemon n sugar or jam...

Any ideas for something breakfasty??

Always bacon and syrup for us.

In the States I always have bacon, a soft poached egg and maple syrup with pancakes. It is delicious!

Scambled egg, tomatoes, mushrooms and cheese!

Cheese, stir fried veg, sautéed peppers and mushrooms... although I've just seen the time and you've probably eaten them by now Grin

Bacon sausages or fried ham, with maple syrup. Put mashed
banana and blueberries in the batter.

Blueberries in the batter with maple syrup and streaky bacon

I realise im a bit late but for future reference i have made the DC this morning a pancake stack (american/scotch pancake style) with a 1/2 tsp of nuttella between each layer and drizzled with syrup and strawberry sauce.

All these suggestions sound yummy. We ended up having them with bacon and scrambled eggs.

DP is raving about them though so no doubt we will have them again soon and try out some other variations :)
