Have two yummy looking salmon fillets in fridge but dh finds salmon boring. What shall I make that isn't boring?

Make egg fried rice with veggies, and grill the salmon with some sesame oil or dark soy then break it up and stir through the rice

My dh is the same and I cook him this - salmon curry

I like it with just lemon and thyme on and some salad with lemon juice or moroccan crusted? - couscous crusted

It can be nice wrapped in foil with some white wine and herbs de provence or fresh herbs (better on the bbq if it's hot where you are).

Agree with previous suggestion to wrap in foil. Alternative to herbs is ginger/garlic/chilli. Yum!

I sometimes cook it wrapped in foil with a dollop of horseradish sauce smeared on top of each fillet. It's lovely.

StrawberrytallCAKE · 28/06/2012 18:16

mmmm...ginger garlic and chilli sounds lovely as does horseradish. I love it when people ask questions about what to do with food because then everyone gets new ideas!

Am loving the curry suggestion so far. Will have to check what ingredients we have

Grilled on top of puy lentils. yum.

BigRedIndiaRubberBall · 28/06/2012 18:25

Wrapped in streaky bacon, or prosciutto if you're posh, with carb and veg of your choice (puy lentils good though, griddled courgettes, roast potato cubes, spinach etc).

Or with teriyaki sauce on noodles with sesame oil and a green crunchy veg.

I recently did an amazing Atul Kochar tandoori salmon recipe which used lime juice, zest and leaves, yogurt and 20(!) cloves of garlic. Stank the house out for a couple of days, but was lush. From Simple Indian cookbook, which is crammed full of seriously good recipes.
