Simple ideas for a school fete?

I would really like to do some cakes for my son's school fete on Saturday. Ideally I would like to not to fairy cakes but I'm not very confident about baking. Does anyone have any fairly easy baking ideas?

What about some sort of tray bake? I have made this blackcurrant bakewell one a few times and it is so easy and really nice.

Rocky Road Bars would also be nice and can't really go wrong. You can even get fridge recipes for this so that you don't have to step foot near the oven!

Rice krispie cakes, bit like the kelloggs squares but nicer

100g butter
100g toffees
100g marshmallows

Melt altogether over low heat then stir in as many krispies as it will coat evenly

Tip into parchment lined baking tray and cut into big slabs when cooled. Chocolate drizzle on top optional

Do use butter not margerine, but sainsbos savers toffees work fine. Asda smartprice toffees make it crap. Walkers nonsuch toffee works well too.

This recipe is a piece of cake (excuse the pun!)

1 mug raisins/sultanas/mixed fruit etc
1 mug brown sugar
1 mug milk
2 mugs self raising flour
1 teaspoon ground mixed spice/all spice

Ingredients dont have to be too precise, as long as you use the same sized mug for all the ingredients so they are all equal.

chuck all in a bowl, mix, pour into greased and lined loaf tin and bake for approx 15 mins at 180c or just keep an eye on it until it is golden brown.

Easy! I used to make this when I was about 8 or 9 so it is really simple!

a variation on crispie cakes: melted chocolate, mixed with cheerios/similar. Spoon into cases, sprinkle with 100s and 1000s before the chocolate sets. Quick, easy and cheap. Choc cake covering is fine, as are own-brand cheerios.
