Here you go.

Cornflake flapjacks. Totally idiot proof and simple to make. Start to finish about 25 mins. Just make sure they don't spend a second longer than 15 mins in the oven. (Cadbury's recipe - can't take the credit for this one).

4oz margerine
1tbsp golden syrup
4oz caster sugar
2oz oats
2oz SR flour
3oz crushed cornflakes

1 Grease a 7" x 7" square tin and preheat oven to 190c (170c if fan oven)

2 Melt marg and syrup together gently.

3 Mix in a bowl the sugar, oats, flour and cornflakes.

4 Pour the melted marg and syrup onto dry ingredients and mix thoroughly.

5 Pack mixture down evenly into tin and bake for 15minutes - NOT A SECOND LONGER!

6 Cut into fingers while still warm and leave to cool in tin.

7 Remove from tin and eat, then bake another batch before anyone realizes!!!

Mind you - I wouldn't say they were all that healthy if you have too many! Grin

I add 2 mashed bananas to flapjacks - any old recipe doesn't seem to matter - makes them moist and convince myself healthy snack as has fruit!

8oz oats
8 oz sugar
2 oz golden syrup
4 oz flour
8 oz butter
2 x pinch bicarbonate of soda
pinch of salt
2 tablespoons of water
3 oz chopped dried fruit, nuts, choc chips or whatever you fancy

Melt the butter, syrup and water together.
Add the oats, sugar, bicarbonate of soda and salt.

Mix together and then add any dried fruit etc.

Cook for about 35 mins at 150 degrees or until golden brown

ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS, BUT NOT VERY GOOD FOR YOU!
