Bulgar wheat

I have just bought a bag of bulgar wheat thinking it looked a bit healthy and different to rice or pasta.

That's as far as I've got with it though! Any suggestions or ideas for what to do with it would be gratefully received!!

TIA

Do some roasted veg (onions, peppers, courgettes, etc).

Put the bulghur wheat in a bowl of boiling water. Add the juice of a lemon and stir in. Then, when the wheat has puffed up properly (10-15 mins) drain excess liquid, stir in some ground cumin and either some freshly chopped mint or coriander.

A little goes a LONG way with bulghur wheat.

I use it like rice, cook it plain, dollop into a bowl and then ladle stew or curry or chili con carne on top.

Tabouleh. Loads of recipes online but basically a cold salad with cucumber/tomato/herbs/onion in a lemony dressing.

You can use it in place of cous cous

Bulgar wheat cooked in veg stock and then add a bag of spinach - yum!
