Potato peelers for people with problems with their hands

MIL has osteoarthritis and skin problems and she struggles to peel potatoes...she was wondering if there was some kind of gadget you could get. I've googled but apart from expensive machines I can't find anything, I found a rotary apple peeler which looked perfect - does such a thing exist for potatoes?

I'm reluctant to get her the expensive machine because she's a contrary old boot and it would probably be the wrong thing. DH has suggested Edward Scissor hand gloves...

Ling, I have rubbish hands and though I love to cook and manage most things (use my magimix when there's a lot of chopping involved) there's no way I could peel a potato in the conventional way.
Mostly we have baked potatoes or unpeeled new potatoes. I do love mash however and have discovered that Tesco's ready made stuff only costs about a pound and tastes pretty good. It doesn't seem to have any nasties in it either.
If push comes to shove and I have to peel potatoes, for roasties for instance, and DH, my regular spud basher, is not available, then I use large baking size potatoes and a my massive, very sharp chef's knife. Place potato on a chopping board and carefully chop in half. Then place the halves cut side down (to eliminate wobble) and holding the big knife at both ends (but from above) kind of thing, pare down the sides from top to bottom. I'm not explaining myself very well here, but as I say, my hands are really rubbish and this works really well for me.
