looking for a nice quiche recipe preferably using wholemeal pastry.

I have loads of stuff in the fridge to use. Cheddar, eggs, milk, cream cheese, onion , bacon, tomatoes, loads of cherry toms too. Also mushrooms, blue cheese. Emmental. Spinach. Cream.

What can I make? Can easily send a child to sainsburys for any additions too.

And a recipe for wholemeal pastry too.

I just use a standard shortcrust recipe for wholemeal pastry ie 100g butter to 200g flour. The only thing is that it cracks very easily when rolling out.

As for the quiche filling - softened onions with lardons, and then loads of cheese. I use 4 eggs for a 10" tin, and just beat them with enough creme fraiche to make a custard-coloured mixture, and then add salt and pepper.

If I'm feeling really fancy, I put sliced tomatoes on top.
