i am really tempted to get a classic (have nearly enough birthday money!:)).
so...

where did you get your kitchenaid from? i don't think anywhere local stocks them so it's have to be an online order.

any other words of wisdom? :)

John Lewis are very reliable incase you have problems, I have always found their customer service to be fantastic...

Whenisitmysleepytime · 17/06/2012 06:43

John Lewis is usually my first choice but they only have the artisan online and I can't stretch that far £££.

Try harts of stur

NoKnownAllergies · 17/06/2012 07:06

Harts of Stur for me too. Great delivery and a freebie of knives and a kitchen aid utensil set when I ordered mine.

Enjoy. I love my Kitchenaid. :)

wem · 17/06/2012 07:10

I've got a classic on order from Harts of Stur too (yay!).

Were your freebies a special offer or did they just arrive with your delivery?

NoKnownAllergies · 17/06/2012 22:10

They were a special offer but apparently they have one offer or another with their Kitchenaids. What colour have you gone for?

HappyCamel · 17/06/2012 22:13

John Lewis, free delivery too.

Nisbets

Whenisitmysleepytime · 24/06/2012 20:42

It's coming tomorrow! Grin
I got it from harts of stur for £285 I think and free delivery. The free bakeware was only with the artisan ones.

Am seriously tempted to pull a sicky to stay home wait for delivery and then play! Wink

Make a proper old school victoria sponge, I promise you will have never tasted anything so good, then make pavlova, then bread. OK!!!!! and give it a name ploor thing must feel unloved with no name, mine is carmmen or betty.

redglow · 25/06/2012 22:05

Whenismysleepytime are you talking about the mixer?

Whenisitmysleepytime · 26/06/2012 16:54

Yes! Blush
Dh is lovely but he doesn't make cake! Grin

Whenisitmysleepytime · 28/06/2012 09:56

I made the Victoria sponge. It was good. Not as well risen as usual but that's because I did a 3 egg recipe instead of my usual 4 egg one so there just wasn't as much cake mix. It was mega easy tho and fast! I got I from work at 4.20 and by 6 I had made and filled it with buttercream (kitchenaid did that very well), collected the dc from nursery and cooked dinner. :)

I'm still working on the name dita Grin

Sounds nice the way you describe your kitchen aid call it sexy.

sleeplessinsuburbia · 28/06/2012 13:04

I'm reading because I'm jealous. Not trying to hijack but are they really worth it? I've nearly bought one about 5 times and chickened out... How many cakes do you need to bake before justifying it?

TwoIfBySea · 28/06/2012 13:07

Sigh Can't justify the cost so I'll just paw over photos of yours. (Cute pup and chicks too Dita btw!) Am very jealous.

redglow · 28/06/2012 14:28

Well they are expensive all my friends think I am mad. But I will have it for ever unlike a laptop or an iPad . I love mine.
