I've got a fair few jars of spices that I need to find some kind of storage system for. Can I nick any clever ideas you have please? I dont have space for them in the cupboards and I dont really like the wire things that go on the wall....is there an alternative?!

They should be kept in the dark to keep their flavour.
One good way is flat on their backs in a drawer.
That makes them easier to find than having them all standing behind each other.

I have two shelfs on the wall which house all my spices, flours, sugars etc. I buy cheap kilner style jars from IKEA to decant them in to make it look pretty. Smile I get some labels from Lakeland and label them.

Mine are standing in a box in a deep drawer with labels on the top. The pack of about 200 labels cost about 50p and it's one of those really useful boxes designed of a size to hold CDs - in used to sit in a cupboard, short end on, and I could pull it out and view them all.

I have wire racks/shelves which are attaced to the inside of the cupboard door. (Ikea I think).

also a big quality street tin of spares shoved in the back of the cupboard. I like to buy the big bags of spices as I make curry often.

I have a couple of IKEA racks like these in a 'dead' corner of the kitchen and store the spices in small glass jars.
