I'm trying to lose the last bit of baby weight and can't think of a nice hot, low fat meal I could eat!

I'm not a salad person and I'm running out of ideas! Any suggestions please?

chickpea or quorn curry

made with low fat curry sauce and brown rice

Butternut squash & red lentil curry, leek & potato soup-yum!!

Great ideas here. One of my favourite low-fat meals is Ratatouille. Can have alone or with tuna/grilled chicken/sprinkling of cheese for protein. Also crab claws with salad and a small bit of garlic butter. Add a modest glass of White wine and it feels very indulgent but is not very fattening.

I think the half quorn half meat idea is a good one and I will start with that. Thank you!

Reading these I know why I will never be skinny.

Cottage cheese on your spud is bad, but grated celery.

Butter and sweet corn, rather than cheese may, but grated celery Envy

Celery is the most perfect diet food as you burn more calories eating it than what's in it!

Angelico · 10/06/2012 23:13

Sarah that may be but it's also bloody horrible! :o

QueenOfIndecision · 11/06/2012 11:15

Another odd one but does hit the spot if you want roast veg is to parboil spuds, spray frylight and dizzle Marmite in a baking tray and shake the potatoes in the oil and Marmite mix. Chuck them in a hot oven for a bit til crispy.

moroccan couscous with seven vegetables and chicken thighs and home made harrissa

yellowraincoat · 30/06/2012 19:39

Thai Red Curry, replace the coconut milk with Philadelphia and water.

yellowraincoat · 30/06/2012 19:40

Also, how about tacos? If you made them with beans and used low fat sour cream, they'd be pretty healthy.

Swatchdog · 30/06/2012 19:45

spicy vegetable wraps

prawn pilau

sweet potato dhal

ham and leek cobbler

These are a few of the recipes that helped me go from a 16 to a 10 a few years ago and still get used a lot now as they're filling and tasty. BBC Good Food is a great resource for recipes and you can limit parameters like calories or search in their healthy section for loads of stuff!
