What goes with roast potatoes?
Uberly · 08/06/2012 18:10
....and something different from a roast?!!
I'm really craving some roast potatoes tonight but not sure what I could serve alongside them!
I'd go for a roast tonight but it throws DP off his days! So what else could I serve? Any ideas?
Yours hungrily :o

lol littlemissnormal! I've been tempted just to eat a whole plateful to myself this week!
Sadly, my DP is what we call a little on the fussy side!

Salt. That's all they need. Possibly some black pepper. No need to faff about with anything else.

Just the roasters, really crispy and unless it's pg craving then a glass of milk!

Or a steak medium rare and blue cheese sauce.

They also go really well in a sandwich. Well, all potato (apart from perhaps Hula Hoops does).
Hth.

GlaikitFizzogKnitterOfTheRealm - (what a name! :) I copied and pasted :p) We were going to have steak, but wasn't sure how my gravy soaked tatties would go with it.
HazeltheMcWitch - What a brilliant idea! Is there nothing that wouldn't go in a sandwich?! Hula Hoops works well if crushed first! Although Hula's work best squashed into cheese imo! Anyway, I digress....
After all your wonderful suggestions (and I didn't think I'd get so many responses, guess everyone loves a good roast potato!), we've actually gone for steak pie! I did say earlier that DP is fussy....I would have gone for all the suggestions...or just the potatoes!
Thanks again :)
