What to serve with strawberry ice-cream?

Says it all really! I've got a lovely recipe for strawberry ice-cream but could do with something to serve on the side. Shortbread is going to be my fall back but are there any more interesting options out there?

I've thought of brandy snaps but don't think that they'll go and I'm doing a raspberry and almond tart the next night so would like something different.

Any ideas?

What's wrong with it on its own? Good ice cream needs a spoon and nothing more.

I would normally agree but it's for a dinner party so just looks as though it needs something else to go with it.

A couple of real strawberries on the top would dress it up a little.

Summer fruit coulis? Frosted redcurrants? Chocolate dipped something? Meringues?

Go retro and serve banana splits or knickerbocker glory! Lots of sauce and whipped cream :). Not elegant but a guaranteed hit!

Green and blacks chocolate cake, it's without flour and delish. Look up recipe on
line and you can just use dark choc if don't want to use g & b
