Kippers

Went to Whitby yesterday and got some kippers but they were left in the car all night. Will they still be ok to eat?
What can I do with them if they are good to eat? I fancy something imaginative

Should be OK. We do them on the barbeque as they stink the house out for days! Kedgeree? Never done anything except eat them with bread and butter. Whitby kippers are so good. Did you get them from the smokehouse?

I personally wouldnt eat them, but I tend to be extra careful with fish. I have never tried kippers!

Should be OK.
They are smoked and salted to preserve them after all!

I would eat them if they didn't smell dodgy, don't look dodgy and of course they didn't taste dodgy! So common sense really but I reckon they'll be fine.

I always just have them with bread and butter too!

We had them on the BBQ in the end and did a nice salad with them, they were lovely and I'm still alive to tell the tale!

We got them from fortunes, DrSeuss. You know just past the 99 steps and up the road?

Glad they went well. They are totally different from the boil in the bag kind. Will try Fortunes, thanks.
