Anyone got any ideas for a salad dressing?

I went into town today for a salad dressing and came back with everything but the dressing, its a normal salad but with feta cheese & olives.

The stuff that I have in the cupboard are:

Red Balsamic
White Balsamic
Balsamic Vinegar
Pureed garlic
olive oil
worcester sauce
soy sauce

I'd just use white vinegar and olive oil for that, I think. Maybe with a bit of dijon mustard?

only mustard that i've got is colmans mustard powder, would that do?

Hmm, dunno. I'd just do white vinegar, olive oil and a bit of garlic then? I've never made salad dressing with mustard powder.

(I make my own salad dressing all the time, but it's either olive oil, white vinegar + mustard, or I fry pine nuts in olive oil and add balsamic at the end.)

I would use white wine vinegar and olive oil and some dried mixed herbs

I always use 6 x tablespoons oil to 2 x tablespoons white wine vinegar as the basic recipe then you can add a teaspoon of (grainy) mustard and 1/2 teaspoon sugar or chopped herbs to ring the changes. Shake it all up in an old jam jar et voila!

I find lemon juice makes it nice and fresh too with lots of cracked black pepper.

I do a tbsp Balsamic vinegar, 1 tbsp white wine vinegar, tsp of mustard powder (or djon mustard), garlic clove, lots of Olive oil and a bit of sugar i just pestle and mortar it all (add the vinegar before the oil).

In Croatia, most salads are:

bit of salt, bit of oil and then balsamic or red vinegar to your liking. Delicious!

oh if you have feta and olives you want a nice med salad dressing.

3 tbsp olive oil
2 tbsp veg oil
3 tbsp yoghurt
1 tbsp lemon
3 cloves garlic
1 tsp mustard
salt and pepper

I had a lovely med salad earlier int he week with olives, and rice in it too.
