getting rid of icing sugar on fondant ....

I was asked to make a cake at the last minute and I have drunk no vodka left , how do I get rid of the icing sugar off the black fondant , tried brushing it off no luck, water i know just makes a sticky mess....any ideas please?

You could try rolling up a ball of fondant and rubbing it on the cake. It will polish it off. If you had a steam
Cleaner you can steam it off at a distance.

Ohh thanks I haddn't thought of that .. I do have a steam cleaner in the depths of the cupboard I wonder if it still works... Mind you It is bits of fondant on butter icing so that might be a bit of a disaster ....

Use your iron. Very gently and from a distance. It doesn't take much to get it to fade
