Fairy cakes - basic sponge - need for friday. Ok to bake tomoz or will they be stale?

I've no room in freezer and am working wed thur fri. Going running wed night and need to ice thur night ready to take to work Friday. Will thy be ok if baked tomoz? :)

I typed cupcakes first then got scared and deleted jf.

I wouldn't. Cakes don't usually last too well. Unless you baked them, froze them, defrosted Thursday morning so they're ready to ice Thurs night.

oops, clearly you just said no room in freezer. Just bake them and ice them Thurs night - they don't take that long to cool down!
