I've got salmon fillets for lunch, but it's so warm and I really don't want to have to cook indoors.

What's the best way to barbecue them? Is this even possible?

What sort of BBQ have you got?

Seona1973 · 27/05/2012 10:40

you could use one of these

IAmRubyLennox · 27/05/2012 10:43

Ooh, Seona, now you mention it, I think we have one of those, had completely forgotten.

It's just a charcoal, bog-standard circular barbecue. We're flushed with success having cooked everyone chicken and burgers last night on it without anyone developing campylobacter, so I thought we'd give the fish a whirl.

Any thoughts about marinade or likewise?

lime juice and corriander for me, all the way!

scentednappyhag · 27/05/2012 10:48

Lime juice, ginger, little bit of chilli powder, wrapped in tin foil boat.
Now I'm going to have to go and buy some salmon, damn you OP Grin

have just realised the salmon fillets are skinless. Is this going to be a giant disaster?

Wrap in tinfoil with marinade of choice, place on low heat BBQ for about 5 -7 min dependent on thickness.
