Oh, is it this week? I've seen the stuff in the supermarket but I wasn't sure.

I prefer lemon juice and sugar too. DS2 likes nutella, DS1 likes maple syrup.

Dunno about savoury, sorry, becca!

Ooh, thanks for the reminder - I forgot last year . Luckily ds was only 18 months. Don't think I'll get away with it this time round.

Lemon and sugar for me...

Highlander · 19/02/2006 13:43

mixture of fresh fruit (Gala melon, kiwi, grapes and apple) DRENCHED in maple syrup.

Goes really nicely with buckwheat pancakes.

nutcracker · 19/02/2006 13:50

I am soooooooo lazy. Have just brought too bottles of pancake mix. All you do is add milk and shake and hey presto.

Frizbetheexpansionset · 19/02/2006 13:53

Ohhh its this week I'd like a new baby rather than the pancakes tho, if I may! (come on out bump!!)
Alternatively Lemon or Orange n sugar!!

pineneedle · 19/02/2006 13:59

Our calendar says it's the 28th...?! [wondering emoticon]

Tommy · 19/02/2006 13:59

biglips · 19/02/2006 14:01

yes its on the 28th feb !

suzywong · 19/02/2006 14:05

nutella
well ds2 has american style pancakes, homemade of course, every morning and slathered in nutell as that's the only way I can be sure he gets any protein in the day.

My mum used to make them with lemon and sugar. YUM

pineneedle · 19/02/2006 14:09

I wondered about savoury fillings too - might have people round for tea that night, but savoury sounds like such an alien concept, doesn't it?! So conditioned to having lemon and sugar! There are some recipes on the net but not sure about any of them...

JanH · 19/02/2006 14:12

Findus used to sell savoury pancakes - IIRC there was a cheese and ham one, a chicken one and a mince one. I guess you could put any toastie filling inside a pancake?

suzywong · 19/02/2006 14:13

Bloody Nora, I could just go a Findus Crispy right now

LadySherlockofLGJ · 19/02/2006 14:14

Thanks for that, you managed to send me into a blind panic for a moment.

nutcracker · 19/02/2006 14:15

Once at school i did savoury pancakes with some mince filling or other.

They looked lovely. Shame i'd put a table spoon and not a tea spoon of salt in them really

JanH · 19/02/2006 14:17

nutty!

Want to give us the recipe?

aragon · 19/02/2006 14:23

lucy5 · 20/02/2006 09:09

I like lemon and sugar. For savoury ones you could do creamed mushrooms, spinach and ricotta, cheese and ham.

Passionflower · 20/02/2006 09:47

Me, DH and DD1 lemon and sugar
DD 2 & 3 Nutella or jam

Passionflower · 20/02/2006 09:49

For savouries I can recommend Delia's pancake cannelloni, totally scrummy.

TambaTheDragonSlayer · 20/02/2006 09:54

Lemon and sugar.

Mils family always have ice cream in theres.

My friends mom used to soak them in butter and then microwave them

poppiesinaline · 20/02/2006 10:10

Oh no, is it this week!!? Better get the oranges and lemons in then!

jac34 · 20/02/2006 10:13

Freshstart,
How about cheese and Brocolli, with a cheese sause over the top.
I'm home this week as it's half term here, so I might suprise DH with some on Tuesday evening.
