I'm oven baking a pack of sausages tonight, and ~ half will be left over. Can I make a sausage casserole thing with them? I have passatta, veg that I can roast etc. And then can I freeze it?

Definitely, it'll work really well.

Yes

Sausages, passatta, herbs, salt and pepper, a chunck of choriso, a tin of canalleni or butter beans - thow in in together, top with boiling water and done.

So, do I cook the sausages first? And when I add everything together, how long do I cook it for? I'm a bit clueless about this Smile.

I would brown first, cos they will look horrible pink! Brown them off, chuck them in your casserole pot with stock, your veg, chopped tomatoes or passata, and I like to cooki for an hour with a lid or tinfoil over, then 20 mins without to reduce the liquid down. Have it with mash or a big yorkshire pud. One of my favourite meals.

I'd like to oven bake them tonight, then to make casserole tomorrow. Will that work?

Yes you can do that. I would stick it all in a slow cooker but in the oven for an hour - on the hob not as long.
