Cooking frozen lamb burgers?

Bought some lamb burgers from the butchers the other day and froze the ones we didn't use. DP really wants them tonight but I haven't taken them out to defrost. He says it will be OK to "cook them on a low heat for a long time" but I am not so sure..... We don't have a microwave to defrost them. Would it be OK just to cook them from frozen?

Absolutely fine, cook lower for longer - cover with foil for a while so they don't burn. Best to do them in the oven.
