My Mum who is in her 70's is planning to do a bithday tea for some friends and wants to do it with an irish theme can anyone suggest anything?

wheaten bread,soda farles, lots of tea and butter dripping off warm scones!
loads of alcohol irish coffee's God I am detoxing at the moment now I'm hungary.
