Wraps for packed lunch

Pinner35 · 20/05/2012 13:21

DD has asked me for wraps in her lunch. I've bought some but I have no idea what to put in them. She likes tuna mayo in sandwiches, but that sounds gross for a wrap. Any ideas? She eats pretty much anything.

TIA

My DTs like these, when they have them I put in leaves ie lettuce/spinach/watercress/onion with cheese/ham/tuna and mayo...

tuna mayo is nice in a wrap. You could use ham, cheese, etc (anything you would put in a sandwich really)

tuna mayo is fine. my dd loves sliced up hot dogs cheese and salad

I like any combination of: grated cheese; grated carrot; baby spinach leaves; houmous; sliced turkey; spreads. The spinach/houmous combo is very tasty.

Wraps can get soggy, particularly if you're not eating them immediately, so might be best to squeeze the tuna mayo on the side of a spoon before putting it in.

This all sounds good. If wraps have soggy tendencies,am i best making them on the day or can they be done the night before?

A favourite in here is hummus, grated carrot and a sprinkle of raisins/dried cranberries.

Ham with mustard and watercress is nice as is grated cheese mixed with grated carrot, onion and mayo topped with rocket. Philly, smoked salmon and rocket much loved by DSs.
