Anyone else ever get 'freebies' from Tesco grocery delivery?

Usually there are things missing from my order but occasionally there are items that I didn't order and I haven't been charged for.

Tonight it was a huuuuge tub of Lurpak spreadable, Finest beef and shiraz ravioli and a tub of fresh arrabiata sauce (think this might have been someone's Friday night easy dinner ) and cheese slices (bleurrrgh).

Apart from the cheese slices I'm quite impressed. Phoned Tesco and as usual their instructions were just to keep the stuff and for once I don't mind.

Not from Tesco because I don't use them but I have had `extras' from Waitrose. The day I went into labour with ds we got 24 free range eggs (vivid memory of going round to our neighbours in labour, trying to offload some), and some loaves of bread once. Sounds like you've done well tonight. I do ring them and let them know but they also say to keep it. Ocado often put in a freebie (intentionally - they are free samples listed on the sheet they give you) and we've had detergent, chocolate and alpro soya stuff in the past. Tonight we got...a Boden catalogue, lucky lucky us (like we haven't already received about 10 this season).

This week (Tuesday), I received a bag of mini chocolate fingers, 2 packets of mini snack-a-jacks and a packet of mini jaffa cakes. These have since all gone

No it's always exactly what I ordered..no more and no less so I can't complain and I find the service very good (I just shut off that part of me which would be making art works against them)

I used to shop online with iceland and they sent me some extra cans of soup, I was well happy I'd got a freebie but then they rang me up and said "we've made a mistake, we'll be round to collect them!" miserable gits

Someone I know had a load of extra stuff delivered though, gateauxs (sp?), meat, LOADS! and they filled their freezer and chucked out what they couldn't fit in - didn't think to ask if anyone else wanted it

I've had 24 tins of cat food (no, I don't have a cat) and several bottles of beer. also loads of very strange substitutions - like banana-scented bubble bath when I had ordered bananas, that sort of thing.

Does anyone else find that they're always claiming to be out of bread? I just dont' believe them!

i remember we ordered several Kg of organic courgettes to make baby food...

they had no organic ones and gave us normal ones as a substitute.... which were rejected...

the man forgot to take them away so we were left with an ENOURMOUSE bag of courgettes!

We were left with a carrier bag full of cigarettes and another one with a few bottles of whisky in it recently. I was about to re-open the front door and call the guy back when DH wrestled me to the floor and put his hand over my mouth .
