I saw some the other day, has anyone tried it?

What do you do with it?

Just peel and eat. They've been cooked in balsamic vinegar so are sweetish and tangy. Yum

AmberLeaf · 19/05/2012 17:50

No I dont think they are slug?

Black garlic is a type of fermented garlic used as a food ingredient in Asian cuisine. It is made by fermenting whole bulbs of garlic at high temperature, a process that results in black cloves. The taste is sweet and syrupy with hints of balsamic vinegar[1] or even tamarind.
From Wikipedia

So you are both right, it's fermented but tastes like balsamic! No idea what to do with it though...

Its bloody expensive too!

It sounds like its mild too?
