I just went to the butchers and bought some fillet steak for DH (am veggie but it's his bday so thought it would be a nice treat) - was
at the price £12.50!! So I don't want to get it wrong. I asked the butcher how to cook it and he said grill or fry.
Thinking of frying it but it's quite a thick piece. DH likes it medium rare. How do I know when it's ready? (I'd say it's about 3.5 inches high)
and do I fry it just by itself, garlic? onions? wine? I have really no idea
