Kitchenaid ice cream maker

DH had bought me one as a surprise present.

I am going to firmly ignore the fact that it is the coldest May on record and am desperate to use it. I need answers to a few questions:

Is it tricky to use?
Does anyone have any fool-proof recipes they are happy to sure?

How much am I going to completely love it?

It's never too cold for ice cream

I have a magimix, one of the ones with the bowl that you freeze first, for me the trickiest thing I remembering to put it in freezer. I have used several of the recipes in nigella's forever summer with success. If yours is the same sort my top tip is to get the mixture really cold in the fridge before it goes in as the machine doesn't have enough chilling power to freeze the mix from warm.
