Year 6 SATS dinner ideas!

NotaDisneyMum · 15/05/2012 11:35

DD is mid-SATS and I'm looking for inspiration for dinner tonight - she's quite fussy, and just this week I don't want dinner to be another stress for her!

I've done macaroni & veg cheese and sausage and roast veg traybake so far this week - but need more inspiration because usually, she tolerates, rather than enjoys, our regular family meals Sad

Do these Jamie Oliver fajitas. They are delicious, I hated fajitas until I had these as I had only ever been having the dodgy Old El Paso ones out of a packet. Make the salsa and the guacamole as they are the things that really make it special.

Also if she will eat a mild curry this Jamie Oliver Chicken Tikka Masala is gorgeous.

I would just do whatever she likes to eat to avoid the fuss.
Roast chicken?
Pasta
Plate of yummy cold meats and salad bits?

If you give an idea of what she likes/dislikes, it will be easier to offer ideas :)

the Fajitas are an inspired idea, I've just picked up the bits I need - she loves those usually - although doesn't like tomato and hasn't tried avocado, so we'll see later!

affronted - very little! She is fussy about texture, taste, colour, you name it! I don't pander to her, but she tolerates rather than enjoys her food Sad Even things she loved for ages she will suddenly turn her nose up at - apparently, popcorn sticks in your teeth so is yucky!

I wouldn't mind quite so much if I wasn't a caterer by trade Blush

I hope she enjoys those fajitas- they are my stand by dish. People always love them!! And I am quite a fussy eater so hopefully they will appeal.
