Ideas for kids tea

Me and a few mums from school take it in turns each week to do a play date and tea for five of the dc's and their baby siblings.

I need a relatively cheap/ easy idea.

So far since September I've made ;-

Toad in the hole
Roast chicken
Tuna pasta
Bolognaise
Crispy chicken and veg

Any ideas? Thanks

Mine love risotto- I made an easy peasy oven baked one last night, omitted the prawns though.

Also shepherds pie or meatballs?

My kids love risotto cakes, I just make the risotto the day before then form little cakes, cover in Parmesan and breadcrumbs then shallow fry.

Homemade pizzas are fun too, I cheat and buy the packet mixes for the bases, cover in passata and oregano then give the kids little bowls of various toppings to make their own. Pepperoni, sweet corn, cherry toms and mozzarella cubed are always popular.

Chicken and ham plait also goes down well and is super easy; packet of puff pastry rolled out then filled with mini chicken fillets, ham and I pop some tarragon in there, sliced down the edges diagonally and plaited over and served with peas.

roastie meal with chicken or sausages
