Ages from 2-8. Healthy food ideas for the kids, everything seems unhealthy or not very filling, thank you for your ideas!

Spanish omlette? Popular in my house, just fry some onion & pre cooked potatoes (use leftovers) in some olive oil, add eggs, and voila! Its quite tasty, I add salad on the side.

I wish more people had replied to this... Lunchtime is the one meal I can never think of anything for 22month old DS to eat. He wont eat a sandwich and Im sure he gets bored of pasta.

Jacket potato and beans?

Make pizzas with them? (could be on muffins if you don't want to do pizza dough.

Use pita bread, or wraps for butties instead of bread

I've always made lunch the main meal for my younger children. Then when we run out of energy and ideas later on in the day it seems to matter a lot less if they've had the main meal already.
So sandwiches/ toast works well. Or all the bits separated (ham, cheese, crackers, fruit etc) on a big plate and called 'a picnic' :). Works round here!

My DS (age 2) adores pumpkin soup. I cut toast into small squares and he adds them to the soup to make it easier to eat with a spoon.

Bloocow I often take the 'picnic' approach with DD! She doesnt eat sandwiches but likes picking at little things, her absolute favourite lunch is:

Sliced raw yellow pepper
Cherry tomatoes
A couple of Ritz or Tuc biscuits
Cubed cheese
Strawberries
Grapes
Small yogurt pot.
