Meatballs. Fry or bake, with or without sauce?

I've made the pasta sauce (it's quite thick) and I've made the meatballs but what do I do now?

I though I could brown them and then pit the in a casserole dish with the sauce and lid on and then bake them - how long for?

Or do I just fry them and get fat all up the splash back

Brown them, smother them in sauce, put a lid on the and cook them on the hob. Serve with spaghetti.
