Ive tried putting in freezer for 3 mins as instructed and peeling off sheet straight away but its not coming off in one peice, just breaking off in bits.

its for ds's birthday cake so I am getting a bit frantic as I need it done as we are supposed to be having it first thing in the morning.

please help me. I will be eternally grateful.

Put it in the freezer for longer?

If that fails, would it be too awful just to pop it on the top plastic backing and all for the party and candle, then whip it off quick in the kitchen after that when you're cutting it up to serve?

Make sure you have a great time tomorrow whatever.........'do you remember that complete mess with the cake topper..I got soo stressed..' could end up as one of the great family memory moments of the future Wink

I put it in for 20 mins and it did finally come off but I broke the corner off, luckily just border and not the actual picture. wow that was stressful!

For future reference, 3 mins isn't long enough for a full cake topper. Put it in on something flat and leave it for at least 10 mins. Check it every few mins after that and it will just peel off intact. I've used them for years and now print my own

ah thanks so much. the instructions given to me said a maximum of three so I went with that. now I know it will be ok I wont worry about leaving it to freeze for longer.
