I've tried loads & always end up back with Marigold Swiss Veg - IMHO its by far the best :)

nappyaddict · 09/05/2012 11:18

Do you use it even in meaty dishes where the recipe asks for chicken or beef bouillon?

I use Marigold & love it.

rockinhippy · 09/05/2012 11:30

I probably would nappy but we are a no meat household, so have never tried it that way, but we all love the added taste it gives, so I expect so & I do use it in meat mimicking fish dishes too :)

HipHop What about you?

we do have chicken OXO at home which DP uses, but I tend to stick with the marigold. Don't cook anything that would use beef boullion. I do add some Marigold to Spag Boll though. I cook atlot ofveggie food too.
I find the Marigold to be quite general purpose.

Marigold powder - use it in everything

applejelly · 09/05/2012 15:30

Marigold (reduced salt) for me & DS - lovely

Kallo chicken / beef cubes for DH (chicken ones are free range, only ones I have been able to find so far) - he says both are very good

Beanbagz · 09/05/2012 16:19

I always use Marigold Swiss Vegetable (reduced salt). Kallo Organic if i need chicken stock though not so much now that DD is a vegetarian.

nappyaddict · 09/05/2012 23:30

applejelly Are you and DS vegetarian?

OP posts:
applejelly · 10/05/2012 19:27

Yes nappyaddict I am vegetarian, but DS isn't (yet)! If I'm cooking something for all of us which needs stock I use Marigold and it always works well.
