Made a cake, took it out of the oven, turned around and saw the above mentioned ingredient on the side, still in the bowl.

Can't decide what to do with them now, don't want to waste them as it's rum food we're talking about here.

So, what would you use them for?

I'd cram them into one of those little raisin boxes in the hope that DS might actually nap after his snack.....

Or I'd possibly make a raisin loaf.

Eat them. Yummy!

Vanilla icecream, golden syrup, rum soaked raisins.

The OH likes rum & raisin ice-cream, that could work, but your nap inducing idea woudn't work charlie , I evaporated the alcohol so the DDs can have some cake. Why, oh why did I do that?

bread and butter pudding for adults only

Bake bananas with lemon and/or orange juice with the raisins and brown sugar. Serve hot with vanilla ice cream :)

Isn't this how Danny and his dad catch pheasants in 'Danny the Champion of the world' by Roald Dahl? But if you're not up for a spot of poaching you could use them in a suet pudding. Or add them to a boiled fruit cake.

I'd simply make another cake and carry on eating :)

stick em in a banana bread, like the one in Nigella's Domestic Goddess book.
