Actually, I often freeze them once they have cooled, before they get snaffled up!

Yes, that's my problem, they only last a day here usually too, before they are all gone, so I have no idea how long they actually can keep!

I baked them on saturday ready to take them to a poorly friend today, but the visit has been delayed until Tuesday. I'm hoping they will still be tasty then!

They freeze well I have heard never had any left to try it

They freeze fine here, unless the DCs know that I've baked them, of course.

Madeira cake on the other hand, never gets near the freezerBlush
