I'm planning on taking our slow cooker camping next weekend and thought that porridge would be good in the morning as it's going to be freezing!

Has anybody tried this, if so what was it like and how long did you cook it for? If it was goos, who would you mind sharing your recipe please?

Hi yes it does, but we use oatmeal rather than oats, they keep there texture, oats turned to a sloppy mush! Will fond recipe later on for you!!! Grin

I have burnt porridge several times when slow cooking overnight. It's the milk that's the problem, it burns when cooked too long. So if you use water it should be ok. Or use a timer I guess, which I don't have.
