Ways to make potatoes more interesting ....

...my boys are just the worst when it comes to meat, potatoes and veg meals. I usually mash and cream the potatoes with or without gravy or something (ie. veg) in a white sauce but they just will not eat the potatoes (and not much of the rest for that matter). Tonight I gave them roasties but they both had to have them taken off their plates without even tasting. What, oh what can I do to get them to eat potatoes?? BTW, boiled new potatoes don't get a look in either. Any suggestions?

Thanks

i par boil potatoes for 5 mins then stick em in olive oil in the oven for 25-30 mins with pepper.

What about making crisps - in microwave or deep/shallow fry then gradually making them softer until they will eat potato slices?

potato wedges?
lyonnaise potatoes (sliced thinly fried with onion and butter)

Mix mash potato with grated cheese? But will they get past the look of it and actually taste it?

I get my dd to make this:

chop up potatoes small (1-2cm cubes) and put in bowl with tablespoon of olive oil and tablespoon of herbs and twist of salt. Mix around. After 10 minutes of mixing around and tossing around kitchen, pour onto baking tray and bake for 30 minutes or until tasty looking.
