quick! help! hfw cauli pakoras

I've made the batter and cut the cauliflower but have no sunflower oil! Will it work if I shove em in the oven it should I write off the batter and make cauli cheese instead?

I dont think they will work in teh oven you need to fry quickly to set the batter.
