sausages suggestions

Got some sausages that need using today. Any ideas for some interesting meals. Anything other than sausage and mash and toad in the hole.

Sausages and puy lentils. I do have it with mash though.

Brown an onion and then add the sausages and brown them in a casserole dish. Add some puy lentils and a carton of chicken stock. Simmer for about 40 mins until lentils are cooked.

I keep meaning to do a rick stein recipe which is:
fry off onions and garlic
add sausages
add dried chilli flakes and thyme
add white wine and leave to cook down.
Add sundried tomatoes
Finish with freshly chopped parsley and lemon juice
He served it with polenta with butter and parmesan.

Try this with mash, tis delicious!

Don't bother faffing with the apple rings, I always leave them out. Plus I use normal onions instead of shallots.

pasta with sausage and tomato sauce

Chop a couple of cloves of garlic and fry in some olive oil. Break up the sausages and stir around with the garlic. Add a tin of tomatoes and simmer until well reduced and broken up. Season to taste, toss through pasta and serve with grated parmesan and a green salad
