Micro chips - why are the considered to be bad?

Just curious.

The ingrediants list is just towo items: potatoes, vegetable oil.

So, nothing different to doing your own homemade oven chips or even a jacket potato.

So why are they considered bad?

But they really aren't that bad ingredient wise by the looks of it.

I actually don't mind them too much. Rarely have them in - had some in from over Christmas, as we couldn't get oven chips. Had some this evening as I didn't want mash like DH and DD. hey were fine, and just tasted like non crispy chips TBH.
