I put them on top of baking parchment and then scoop up the baking parchment into a pouch and then make like a funnel and pour them back into their case, if that makes any sense

Catsmamma · 15/04/2012 20:11

they should sit on top of crumpled baking paper! You ninnymuggins!

HamburgerHelper · 15/04/2012 20:13

My Mom did that once, didn't use the paper, only she did it with real beans. She had to start over.

TunipTheVegemal · 15/04/2012 20:16

you can use real beans! I do - I have a tub of dried beans that were out of date so they became my baking beans.

NotQuiteCockney · 15/04/2012 20:16

Yup, baking paper! I remove the baking paper, and then leave them on the counter for a bit to cool. Their container is plastic, I'd worry they would burn the container. (And if you don't use baking paper, don't you have to wash the beans?)

Scrumple the baking paper first so it fits then when done hoick the paper out with beans on,I dump them on the floor to cool whilst giving the base 5 more mins to crisp up
