Eating organic?

Hi

I am thinking of switching to organic foods for my 18month old twins. After reading various articles/studies, I am convinced it is the better option. However, I am concerned about the cost and would love to hear from anyone who only uses organic ingredients. Is it very expensive? Has anyone tried organic fruit and veg boxes?

I believe the food the children have is so important I do want to make the right decisions and give them a good start (they've been eating a mixture of organic and non organic home cooked food so far).

Thanks so much!

Jessica

I get an organic veg box. I don't think it's expensive. We are also vegetarian, so eat a ton of veg. It all just tastes so real, so much veg nowadays is tasteless.

Have to admit I get annoyed with the whole organic thing, it's just how food bloosy well should be, chemical free and tasty!

I am not sure I buy the organic thing with vegetables. Chemicals can be used on organic food, only naturally occurring rather than synthetic. This does not make them necessarily safer or better for the environment. here and here.

I think the taste is a myth as well here and here

Organic is best, in my mind, when looking at meat due to the better welfare standards.
