Ideas for cooking in advance weekend girly trio

Hi All,

My girly friends and I are going to Center Parcs for the weekend this weekend and I am looking for ideas of things to cook particularly for a meal on Friday night and some nice breakfasty ideas and cakes/bakes.

I was thinking of cooking a lasagne but I'm not sure if it's safe to leave in the car while travelling - would appreciate any advice.

Other things I was thinking of

Nigellas breakfast muffins
Hummingbird Lemon Bars
Meringue base for pavlova

Would be great to have some ideas!

I'm camping this weekend and we'll be having tuna and sweetcorn pasta made using tinned sweetcorn and packet cheese sauce. You can always chuck some proper cheese in separately to tart it up.

Otherwise, use soy mince instead of meat. It's virtually unnoticeable with all the tomatoes and herbs, and lessens the risk of food poisoning. Make the bolognaise and white sauce up before you go (or use packet white/cheese sauce mix) and take the ingredients and a big dish in kit form for when you get there.

Chilli with soy mince would travel well?

For breakfast: eggy bread and beans, porridge, (veggie) sausage sarnies, flapjacks, fruit and yogurt...
