Non-stick coating coming off on food, help!

We have some non-stick oven trays and I noticed bits of the coating had come off and stuck to our food, it was really disgusting!

Can anyone recommend trays which will last? Thanks

Did you use them for sauteing something?

Firstly, if Non-stick coating coming away, chuck the tray away. It is not healthy to eat, although I wouldn't know how unhealthy it is.

Secondly buy new ones. Enamelled steel or Anodised aluminium would get around that problem, alternatively buy a good quality (fairly expensive) brand rather than something from the supermarket.

If you are going to put the tray directly over the hob at any time, non-stick bakeware is not designed for that, so go for the enamel or aluminium.

I got some Mermaid trays (as recommended by Delia) in tkmaxx, normally expensive, in there quite reasonable.
