Custard pastries

Its my dad's birthday party on Saturday. He loves confectioner's custard so I was going to make Jamie Oliver's custard pastries (like Portugese "nata") I have all the ingredients but I do not have pastry shells. He suggests putting it over glass tumblers to cook. Will the glass not break? Anything else I can use?

TIA

Could you turn a muffin tray / holey cake tin thing upside down and lay the pastry over the outside of the indentations. I don't think I could find a link on my phone but people do it to make 'cookie bowls' for ice cream and the like

What a good idea. Yes, that's what I will do. Thank you very much.

Glad I could help. They sound good, are they the ones in his book? Think I might make them next week.

Yes, in the Naked Chef ones from years ago.
