How soon should you remove the bread, once the beeper has gone off to let you know it's done?

Straight away if poss or within an hour at the most, according to the instruction booklet for our breadmaker

As soon as possible. I took a phone call just as mine finished the other evening and it sat in the machine for a whole hour before I remembered to get it out. Edible but let's say a bit on the crusty side Confused

It will keep on cooking in the residualheat I guess. so take it out straight away.

Although have given up on our breadmaker - it is crap. Made some by hand last week - it was (almost) perfect.

Fab, thanks. We do take it out straight away but as ours was from a charity shop, had no instructions, so wasn't sure.
