I've never had a pepper mill which has worked properly or, if it does, it breaks after a short while. Could someone please recommend a good pepper mill? TIA

Another vote for Peugeot brand.

chef pal is always recommending Peugeot. I always get me car brands mixed up and tell people that they've got to get one of those lovely Porshe pepper mills.

My Cole&Mason duo is fine, have had it about 4 years.

I have one from Sainsburys that has rabbit shaped ears which are the handles that grind the pepper, and the round tail is where the peppercorns go in. It is really good. You can adjust the size of the grinding too.

All the lovely ones I've had stopped working after about 6months, so I bought some Schartz pepper with a mill as a lid, v cheap but after at least 5 years it's still going strong. I'd like a nice stylish one but it needs to have quite a bit of substance.

Thanks all. I'll have a look at the Peugeot and C&M ones. Smile
