you are kidding yourself that it's less fattening than non-organic!
but who cares - it's the best chocolate EVER and totally worth it

Thirtysix · 03/02/2006 20:15

The darker the chocolate (the higher percentage of cocoa solids) the better it is for you-in calorei terms.

Green and Blacks was an excellent company with excellent products although they sold out to Cadburys a few months ago-hope they don't compromise the quality as it really is one of the best on the market.

Good luck with the diet-been there!!! (need to go there again but that is another story!)

Latz · 03/02/2006 20:15

Dunno - but for some reason makes you only want to eat a wee chunk or two rather than whole bar like tou would if Dairy Milk.

littlemissbossy · 03/02/2006 20:15

Ok, if it makes you feel better..

yes, it's reallllly good for you

georginars · 03/02/2006 20:17

can't say I've found that to be the case Latz 0 unfortunately!

Latz · 03/02/2006 20:17

Isn't it sposed to have more vitamins in it - or am I just finding excuses?!

Latz · 03/02/2006 20:17

My real problem with diets is the wine!

divamummy · 03/02/2006 20:18

LOL Expatinscotland! Well said!

SoupDragon · 03/02/2006 21:49

Cod, are you agreeing with something organic

NannyL · 04/02/2006 09:25

most organic chocolate uses fair trade cocoa (tho not many of the other ingredaints are fair trade ) actually veen the "fair trade" chocolate generally only has about 25% fairly traded ingredaiants (can be 24% to be classed as fair trade)

anyway at least the fact that some of the ingrediants are fair trade mean you are also helping those less fortunate than our selves

oh and less green and blacks is divine... but then there is montezumas which is far superior and uses as much fairly traded / ethical / organic ingredaints as possible!

g and b's dark one is lovely with a glass of red wine in the evening.

Weatherwax · 04/02/2006 10:36

I think the cocoa solids in green and blacks milk chocolate is higher than normal. I eat the kids chocolate a lot less now because I don't find it as satisfying . So you are helping your diet by reducing the temptation of other things, as long as you dont buy too much green and blacks whilst its on special offer

divamummy · 04/02/2006 10:47

yes pruni,
everytime i eat prunes, i remember you
