so i THINK this is what i have in my veg box today.

what do i do with it... is it worth me bothering or is it horrible?

Lots of ideas in Jamies Dinners... or soup... but I never got round to doing anything with the last lot I had so can't really comment

well, i only have 3 lumps of it... so not too much to get through.

it's good actually, i just looked it up online and it has LOADS of iron in... i am always anaemic so maybe i need to eat it more often! lol

I felt I should warn you in advance. I asked about them around a month ago and someone warned me and I did not take their warning seriously and ate far too many and honestly felt like I needed a needle to pierce my backside to get all the wind out the next day.

I didn't know it had lots of iron in - will remember that!

I think you should be fine with 3 - I had 2 lots (one from week before box) so probably cooked about 15 of them

Recipe for soup -

Veg. stock
scrubbed and copped j.artichokes (don't bother faffing around peeling them)
1 onion sliced
1 potato peeled and chopped
2 cloves garlic
single cream
parmesan chees grated

add artichokes, onion,garlic and potato to stock bring to the boil and simmer for20 mins, skim of any scum. Blend return to a clean pan add a generous splash of cream salt pepper and cheese. Warm through and serve with warm crusty bread.

ooooh apart from cream i have all the ingredients for that! might make it tomorrow cm!

can substitute yoghurt(plain obviously) or creme fraiche.
